What are your thoughts on pay and bonuses at your company?
The pay at a graduate level is decent, but I understand that the pay as you go up the ranks becomes very good quite quickly - I believe Bakers pays very competitively at more senior levels

It's definitely a good place to start as a graduate.

The pay is on par with other big law firms, as far as I am aware. Bonuses are not significant. Pay and bonuses depend on having someone advocate for you, so can feel a little arbitrary.
Graduate, Sydney
I'm not sure they are common at lower levels.

As far as I understand, we are paid a good salary consistent with the top tier firms across Australia. Pay is reviewed half-yearly for the first two years, which have included generous pay increases. Graduates are not eligible for bonuses, however this does not bother me. Overall, I am paid more than most Australians despite only being at the beginning of my career. I can comfortably live within my means, and so my pay is more than sufficient to meet my needs.

What are your company's best or most unusual perks? For example: free tickets, free dinners, moving expenses, taxis, pension, etc.
Free dinners (both catered or via UberEats), taxis home, free travel insurance, many corporate discounts
Graduate, Sydney
There are sometimes free theatre tickets. There is free travel insurance for employees and their families.

There are lots of perks but I have not taken advantage of many. The cafe in the office (and the office itself) is amazing.
Graduate, Sydney
Free coffee, Dinner and Ubers home if you're working late

There are various perks available, though I do not take advantage of them as they do not interest me.
