Your Role   

Are you ready to kickstart your career in Finance? As a recruit to our Finance Graduate Program, you’ll embark on an exciting journey with three six-month rotations across various teams. This program is designed to build your financial acumen and provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the key role Finance plays at Australia’s largest insurer.  

Rotations will span 3 out of the following 9 areas: 

Core finance & accounting operations: Group Finance, Group Tax, Retail Insurance Australia Finance, Intermediated Insurance Australia Finance 

Finance specialist functions: Reinsurance, Corporate Strategy, Investments, Capital Markets, Internal Audit

As a Finance Graduate, you’ll have exposure to the following:  

  • Preparing internal and external reports, including Executive reporting
  • Contributing to the preparation of IAG Group Annual Budgets and Forecasts
  • Supporting expense management and associated reporting
  • Contributing to the preparation of IAG Statutory and Regulatory reporting
  • Supporting Finance teams with a range of BAU activity and projects, including through data analysis, information gathering and stakeholder engagement
  • Assisting with risk management practices, including control testing

Graduate Program is open to candidates based in Gadigal Country (Sydney) and Naarm (Melbourne).

Requirements   

  • A university degree or higher (from 2023-2025) or be in your penultimate year of university with graduation expected by the end of 2025 - Business or Economics background (majors in finance, accounting, corporate strategy, economics)
  • A credit average achievement (65%+), and
  • Are an Australian and/or New Zealand citizen or Australian permanent resident.
