Your role

The Investment Banking group provides a variety of advisory and capital-raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, private equity, governments and public-sector organizations around the world. Collaborating across geographies, industries and products, they provide comprehensive and innovative financing, advisory and risk solutions to their clients.

Summer Analyst Program Overview:

They are seeking intellectually curious and driven students to join the Summer Analyst Program. Their program offers an exciting opportunity for accomplished and highly motivated individuals to gain exposure to the Investment Banking industry. It is a great chance to get a feel for the culture, create new networks and gain valuable on-the-job training. The program offers Summer Analysts an opportunity to work alongside investment bankers on financing and advisory projects as a member of the project team. The goal is to help the Summer Analysts advance by providing them with significant responsibilities and diverse experience with the same amount of exposure as a first-year Analyst.

Requirements

  • To be eligible for this program, you must be in your penultimate year of study and must have the right to work in Australia.
  • While no specific advanced degree or path of study is required they look for team players who are curious with strong quantitative skills and an interest in business and finance.
  • Intelligence, leadership traits, diligence, the ability to work well with others, the willingness to adapt to new situations and the capability to function efficiently under time constraints are essential.
  • Nomura will also need to be convinced of your interest and commitment to the financial services industry and Nomura in particular.
