Job Satisfaction at Optus

I'm a data graduate in networks, my day-to-day involves managing the dpm, engaging with stakeholders, completing adhoc reporting requests and completing any assigned learnings.

I work in Product Marketing. I partner with teams across Product, GTM, Segments and a variety of creative agencies to conceptualise, plan and execute on different product launches and initiatives. We are in charge of the creative, messaging, positioning and reporting on what we put into market.

I spend time doing analysis for improving our product and then working on implementing these changes.

I am currently rotating as a Service Designer within the CX department. I design the end to end customer experience and capture the requirements, pain points and opportunities. A lot of my day is spent on Figma to capture the experiences when interviewing customers and stakeholders.

Assigned tasks/tickets at the beginning of the sprint which I work on everyday during the fortnight sprint until I complete my tasks. On top of this, I also have chapter work which I spend about one day during my work week to complete. As a mobile developer, I work on coding new features on the app, and bug fixes when bugs are raised by testers.

My role has me working building cyber security platforms for my larger team, ensuring that our networks are protected against cyber threats. I also work with integrating new technologies to the Optus product offerings.

As a graduate, I have recently changed roles but in my last role I was moderatley satisfied with my work. I felt I was making some impact and I enjoyed working with a variety of people

Day-to-Day tasks are focused on supporting key growth initiatives and developing change capability across the organisation. Often involves stakeholder engagement, impact assessments and comms/training.

Analytics regarding network churn and planning of new sites.

I am a software developer now. working with agile time and work on the jira tickets building microservices

Am satisfied as a graduate as I am learning but I feel like I am not learning as much as I want to

It is predominantly a project management role ensuring that the launch of new products goes smoothly, including coordinating with marketing, legal, IT, billing and commercial teams to ensure that the product is ready for sale to customers.

I work as a OPEX / Cost analyst for our Business to business division. I produce insights and reporting which enable leadership to understand our cost profile, track out initiatives progress and make efficiency decisions.

* Been provided many opportunities to get involved and advance learning in day-to-day role as well as through extra activities within my BU and broader Optus. * There are ebbs and flows each week with the amount of work that comes through, however, the team are really organised which allows me to stay on top of tasks.

I work in the product management space, namely by supporting other PMs on initiatives around their products. I'm currently leading a project to get one of our products to a target number of users. I am also leading for GTM for a new product set to launch in a couple of months. I am also building out the roadmap for an existing product over the next two quarters.

I manage university partnerships, including research funding, scholarships and the surrounding governance.

Great skills but company / industry not very exciting

Grad program gives opportunity to try out different roles and increases my work satisfaction.
