Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Great! The MK Social Committee run by grads is great for grads and the wider firm to bond.

In-office the culture is excellent. All Principals have been willing to assist, and all juniors are engaged in your learning. People make sure to put time aside after hours to catch up outside of work

I feel like the culture is quite dependant on the individual teams. The overall culture is great and the best I have experienced.

The culture in the whole office is amazing overall. Thankfully, it seems that every team aligns with this perfectly. In my first rotation, however, there was only person in that entire team who represented the firms values & actually cared about giving work/training to a graduate.

The principals are very approachable and there is no rigid hierarchy. Each of the teams work well together but there is not a lot of socialising amongst colleagues.

The culture at Macpherson Kelley is one of the best aspects of working here. MK employs good, genuine and hard-working people who also know how to have fun and take care of each other.

The culture is very friendly and sociable.

I won't often see lawyers staying in the office past 6pm.

During work hours: Friendly, down to earth, supportive. There is no divide between principals and junior lawyers. Everyone works as a team to get the job done. After work hours: None, there is little to no after work social events, or if there are they are poorly attended.

It's a flat structure so you can truly speak to anyone. There is no offices so everyone is working right next to each other which is very conducive for collaboration. It doesn't matter if you're a principle or grad everyone treats you the same which great.

The company has great culture. There is limited hierarchy in the office, with everyone including principals sitting in the same open plan office and often eating lunch together. There are weekly after work drinks and many social events to get to know everyone at the firm.

Great culture. Every one is super supportive and welcoming in the office. The firm also makes an effort to organise social events and after work drinks which assists with team bonding.
Graduate, Sydney
Very friendly people, strong emphasis on team work and fostering strong team dynamics. Social events are frequent and very welcoming. Wholesome vibes.

Culture is friendly. Big focus on being able to come to anyone with any issue or question. After work socialisation opportunities are there fairly regularly.
