Culture at Veolia Australia & New Zealand

8.4
8.4 rating for Culture, based on 11 reviews
Please describe your company's culture both in the office and after hours. Let us know about the structure and hierarchy, cooperation and teamwork, and socialising amongst colleagues.
Work life balance so far has been easy to maintain - at least for grad level. There are monthly Friday drinks and fun social events for people to mingle with colleagues without having to talk about work. Even though we know who is in the senior leadership team, they are still usually easily approachable for a casual chat.

Culture at the company is typically good with people being respectful and helpful when required. Company structure can be a bit of a mess with there having been repeated changes in the top level hierarchy in recent years however it appear to have settled down. Within my role in the graduate program many times it a bit lost as to who my managers actually were in terms of day-to-day work vs overall scheme of the company as I would rotate around the business.

Culture in the offices and at sites is very relaxed and friendly. Social events are starting to be held on a monthly basis at my office. It is a very large organisation so culture and team dynamics can vary from site to site or by Lob.

Veolia has a friendly work environment, people socialise at work but not so much outside of it. the company runs very few events or catch-ups outside of work hours. People are friendly and respectful at in the office and encourage people to work together and share ideas

People are genuine and caring

Everyone in the office is extremely friendly and welcoming, no matter where they sit in the organizational hierarchy. There are also a lot of social events that provide the opportunity to get to know your colleagues on a more personal level. This is beneficial when starting projects with different teams, because you have already built up a level of trust and respect.

Great culture, people are friendly and easy to talk to

Monthly work drinks promotes socialisation on a Thursday night. We have a standard hierarchy, and within my team we all have different roles and ask for support where those functions overlap. There are a lot of contractors which may influence the company's culture.

The culture in the office is great, no matter the level of employee everyone converses and feels comfortable doing so. If you ever need help, you need only ask for it. As for outside of work, I am unsure. I am the only graduate in my state and the people in my office are not of similar ages so I do not really converse with my co-workers outside of work

The company has a strong teamwork culture where teams work together to achieve its goal of ecological transformation. There is a strong sense of professionalism and friendliness in the workplace. Networking with co-workers outside of my team is strongly encouraged to broaden people who I can reach out to, who can help me achieve my tasks as well as contribute to ecological transformation. What the company lacks in my opinion is socialising amongst colleagues outside of work hours as currently I feel that there is none outside of corporate events
