Working Hours at Veolia Australia & New Zealand

8.5
8.5 rating for Working Hours, based on 11 reviews
How flexible is your company when it comes to hours?
Work hours are relatively flexible. Some people come in at 7:30, others at 9. Nobody micromanages your arrival or departure times.

Work is very good with just working the standard 8 hours a day as often the sites will close after 8-9 hours of opening so you are more or less forced to go home. I have never had any expectation of working over the standard 8hrs day, though as I often am at an operating plant there may be the case of in emergencies I am required to work extra hour or two. In terms of flexibility of actual works, when I am based at a site it is typically follow the sites operating hours, which is typically 6-2, 7-3, 8-4. But if working from home or the office, there is no set start time.

Great work life balance in my roles to date. Flexibility depends on the role but managers are generally open to working different hours when needed.

extremely flexible: as long as you complete your contracted work hours you can work 7-3, 9-5 etc. If you work more hours one day you can work less on another. Also happy to let you work from home

The office is quite flexible with start and finish times. You are never forced to stay back to finish a project or forced to work on the weekend to achieve a timeline.

Flexible when it comes to hours and days within reason, although it is mainly up to your manager.

So long as you work the 7.5 hours per day required as a minimum, they are usually quite flexible with the times depending on the role. I also work one day at home to accommodate medical conditions.

I work 7hrs 30 mins per day, usually 9am-5pm. Usually this is flexible as you can start earlier or later if wanted as long you complete your work and/or hours. Additionally, there is flexibility to work from home which is great for removing commuting time each day
